Our team believes that mental and physical health are an inseparable whole. For this reason, it is important that patients who have been diagnosed with cancer and their families receive the most appropriate psychological support during and after the treatment process. Cancer diagnosis, surgical procedures, chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments indicate a physically, psychologically and socially challenging period. This period prepares the ground for the formation of psychological problems such as anxiety disorders, depressive mood, adjustment difficulties, changes in personality traits.

During this critical period for the patient and their families, our psychologists aim to improve the quality of life by supporting both the patient and their families spiritually, emotionally and functionally within the framework of psycho-oncology studies. In this direction, the department aims to understand the patient by providing an interview with the patient who has been diagnosed or will be treated, to evaluate their condition together and to choose the best support program for them. This may include individual psychotherapy, family support or group support. Research shows that the inclusion of psychological support in the cancer disease process makes the patient and their families go through the treatment process more comfortably and harmoniously. For this reason, we accompany our cancer patients not only medically, but also psychologically.
