Stem Cell Applications in Muscular Degenerative Diseases

What are Muscular Degenerative Diseases?

All of the diseases we call muscular degenerative are genetic-based diseases. In other words, they are diseases that occur as a result of mutations in a gene.

What is Stem Cell Therapy for Muscular Degenerative Diseases?

Unfortunately, there is no chance of treatment for these diseases at the moment, but gene therapy studies are currently continuing rapidly. When these gene therapies are applied in the near or medium term, definitive treatments for these diseases will be possible. However, today, stem cell applications can be performed with the approval of the Ministry of Health in order to increase the quality of life of people suffering from such diseases, to slow down the course of the disease and to provide patients with some of the features they have lost.

These diseases are; DMD (Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy), Non Progressive Congenital Myopathy, Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy (LGMD) and Becker Myopathy. The main goal here is not to treat the disease one hundred percent, but to provide patients with a more comfortable life.

As Regenerative Medicine Stem Cell Center, we do not only apply certain treatment methods, we also work continuously to provide you, our patients, with the opportunity to apply the most up-to-date treatment methods at world standards under GMP conditions, approved and licensed by the Ministry of Health.
