Born in Samsun on 09.11.1949.
Completed his education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine between 1966 – 1973 and received his doctorate.
Completed his Ophthalmology Specialization at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine between 1973 – 1977.
Worked as Assistant Chief under Prof. Holland at Dusseldorf. University Duisburg Academic Hospital between 1978 – 1984 and performed 6000 eye surgeries at this hospital.
In 1983, he took the exam at Cerrahpaşa University and received the title of Associate Professor.
Returned to Turkey in 1984 and worked in his private practice until 1986.
In 1986, he was appointed as the chief of Beyoğlu Education and Research Hospital.
He received the title of Professor at 100Yıl University between 1995 and 1998.
In 1996, he founded the first eye hospital of Turkey, Dünya Göz Hospital.
In 1998, he was re-appointed as the eye clinic chief and chief physician of Beyoğlu Education and Research Hospital.
