Excimer Laser

It removes visual and refractive defects such as myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism by shaping the cornea properly. It is used in the treatment of myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism.

How is Excimer Laser Applied?

A thin layer (flap) is removed from the cornea to create a smooth surface to be shot into the eye. The defective surface is corrected as determined in the planning by shooting the cornea with laser. It is a device that is applied quickly and permanently corrects the eye defect. It eliminates the need for glasses and contact lenses.
