This screening identifies individuals' genetic risk factors, allowing their cancer risk to be assessed and personalized treatment and follow-up plans to be created.

People who apply to our hospital for breast cancer genetic risk assessment are first given a physical examination by General Surgery Specialists who specialize in breast diseases, and all parameters related to the person's breast cancer risk are evaluated. Patients are then directed to a Radiologist who specializes in breast diseases for the necessary radiological examinations. Depending on the patient's complaints, blood tests may be performed if necessary. Following the radiological results, the patient is directed to further examinations if necessary, and if further examination is not required, the necessary treatment is arranged.

Following these procedures, if it is assessed that the person may have a genetic risk, genetic testing is recommended. For this purpose, blood is taken into a tube. Our genetic tests are carried out by sending them to the Breast Center of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Hospital, USA. A total of 83 separate genes, including BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes, are analyzed. Test and genetic evaluation results arrive within 2 weeks.

Genome tests are sent to America or Europe, depending on the type of genome test preferred, upon your doctor's recommendation and your acceptance, and the results arrive within 1-3 weeks, depending on the type of test preferred. Your tissue sample is personally taken from the Pathology Laboratory by the company that will perform the test.
